The Wedding of Erin & Cooper Wise at Mesa Verde Country Club

Robert Evans Studios first wedding of 2006 was photographed by Joshua Bobrove, January 7th, at Mesa Verde Country Club This was our first opportunity working at this location and I have to say it was a great experience.

Amy Kuchta the event coordinator for the Mesa Verde Country Club was top notch. Not only did she manage a beautiful event she treated us like one of the guests not the help, as you are sometimes treated at many locations.

The wedding itself was beautiful. Cooper and Erin and their family and friends were a pleasure to photograph. I actually assisted Josh at this wedding since I didn't have a job of my own that day. It was great to be the second photographer. You get to see the wedding a little differently without all the responsibility as the lead photographer. I shot candid photographs while Josh took some family groups and worked his magic. I got to photograph the wedding from a different perspective, as the assistant. It reminded me as I watched the day unfold in front of me of all the great images that happen through out the day that you would never capture without a second pair of eyes.

As you can see from the posted images the room was beautiful. Elegantly designed and created by Nancy at Mark's Garden, one of the best florists in the business. Every party I have photographed when Mark's Garden has done the flowers and decor is stunning. I have never seen two parties look alike.

As the sun set over the two lakes below just over the 18th green and the first tee, the room came alive as the lighting in the room began to glow. Illuminate on all the tables, the cake and beautiful patterns sprinkled the dance floor. The lighting really made all the difference once the sun set, a great compliment to all the beautiful flowers.

The lighting was designed by Brandon Peterson of Peterson Lighting. We ended up having dinner with Brandon that night because he stayed until the end of the party to make sure everything looked perfect. He is a really nice guy I really enjoyed talking with him, and I must say in my 17 years of photographing weddings I have never seen a lighting person stay until the end to make sure his work looked as good at the end of the party as it did in the beginning.

Over all the wedding was perfect, the bide and groom were happy and all the guests seem to have a great time. I know one thing for sure the images from the wedding are amazing, Josh did a great job! I'm positive Cooper and Erin will be very happy when they return from Tahiti.
